How to LOVE your sales job again
If you don’t love selling, you’re going to have a tough time crushing your quota and every day will feel like a constant grind. Here’s how you can love selling again, and why it’s so important:
Why it’s important:
Sales is a transfer of energy.
If you’re not excited about what you’re selling, your clients won’t be excited either.
If you don’t believe in what you sell, you won’t be passionate or persistent with clients who stall, put up objections, or have other priorities.
When your internal fire goes out, you’re toast!
But when you believe in what you sell and show up with passion, energy, and conviction every day, that will transfer over to your clients and they will WANT to work with you.
So why is it so hard to keep the fire burning from within?
There are so many reasons, but let me name a few:
1. There’s constant pressure to perform which can wear you down over time.
2. Every year you typically start over with a new quota, territory, or manager. Sometimes all three at once. Change is hard, and sales brings constant change.
3. There’s a lot of internal noise, customer noise, distractions, and demands coming from all sides which can leave you feeling overwhelmed.
Needless to say, all these factors can take their toll leading to many reps feeling burnt out and checked out. And that’s a recipe for disaster in sales.
So what’s the solution? How can you love selling amidst the constant pressure and chaos around you?
That’s exactly what I cover in this week’s training video: How to Love Sales Again!
In this video, I share the exact Mindset I used to overachieve quota 16 of 19 years and sell over 100M in my career by LOVING SALES. Here’s what I cover:
- Why sales is a mirror to the soul, and how sales can challenge you to your core
- Why viewing sales as an opportunity to grow stronger is key to ongoing success
- How to enjoy the journey way more than the destination
- Why there’s no such thing as sales problems: only personal problems that reflect in sales
