Top 3 Ways to Living a Happy, Fulfilling Life
From 2017-2019, I averaged $821,181/year W2 at Salesforce and was one of their top Enterprise AE’s.
I had reached the pinnacle of sales success, yet my life was secretly falling apart.
My marriage was in a bad place, and I was more disconnected from my wife than ever before.
I was constantly on the road and putting my career ahead of all else.
I was struggling with addiction in silence, living a double life that nobody knew about.
Justifying bad behavior because I “deserved it” after working so hard.
My ego was absolutely out of control, and I thought I was God’s gift to the world.
But God had other plans for me.
On February 13th, 2020 my life came to a head.
I hit a rock bottom and entered recovery.
My life has never been the same.
In the best possible way.
I always believed that reaching the very top of the sales mountain would bring happiness and fulfillment, but it turns out I was wrong.
You see, if you climb a mountain but are all alone when you get there, it’s not worth it.
I almost lost everything because I was chasing the wrong things.
Since entering recovery, my focus has entirely shifted to 3 areas in life, which bring immense joy and fulfillment.
1. Mastering the Mind
2. Connecting with the Soul
3. Having Purpose and Meaning in life
You see, I was wildly successful on the outside but empty on the inside.
Chasing extrinsic goals (money, status, recognition) is a sprint you can never win.
Whereas chasing intrinsic goals (growth, connection, contribution) is a marathon that you can run forever, and enjoy every step of the way.
In today’s training video, I share how to live a happy, fulfilling life by focusing on each of these areas and what that looks like in detail.
PS – I still work very hard on my career, but not at the expense of my health and family. And I’m having the best year of my career by far. Yes, you CAN have it all if you do it the right way.
